I am a huge fan of the writings of J.R.R.Tolkien and probably my favourite of his works is ‘The Hobbit’ and one of my favourite chapters is ‘Flies and Spiders’ where Bilbo and his dwarf companions make the treacherous journey through ‘Mirkwood’.
